Greetings friends, Just a question related to sound cards, I have a Quanta zw9 laptop, which is absolutely brilliant with Linux of course better with suse than any other flavour. The onboard sound run in win XP has the ability to use the three audio jacks as the following: the Mic (pink) as Sub woofer out the line (blue) and rear out the Audio (green) as front audio How can I get this setup to work in Suse? TIA Chad
I was friendly and asked a genuine question. But it seems this list is super over populated with newbies, Is there a list for suse where all the experts hangout and deal with expert problems like this one, or am I sc3wed? Thanks Chad On Thursday 03 March 2005 22:55, Chadley Wilson wrote:

Insults will not get you very far, here or elsewhere.

The lack of an answer would be = no one knows and/or cares. Try looking on the alsa website (www.alsa-project.org) for answers, as this is an alsa question and not specific to SuSE. There is also an alsa mailing

Try the multimedia list.
Have any experience on that list, I was tempted but am worried is will be smothered in people below my level, who I don't mind helping but would also like some solution. Chad

Our 'experiences' would probably fall below *your* level. I'm sure that you will figure it out at *your* level. -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org HOG # US1244711 Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery
