wlan is required and is not ready, so boot waits for it. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. R. it's configured but not active, it should not wait I just removed the conf, I will see if it starts faster. If so I may write a bug report thanks jdd -- http://dodin.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

If it is yast, change it to start when available instead than on boot. If it is NM, I don't know. I don't remember now booting it on a place far from my WiFi, to see what it does when it is not available. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. R. What is the start-up mode? if it's 'manual' or 'none' or 'hotplug' (not sure how that works with wlan), I agree it should not wait. If it's 'onboot' or 'auto', I think (1) waiting is correct. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (17.6°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - your free DNS host, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

it's none. anyway it waits even when the wlan is removed (that is not configured) that said I'm not that sure that the wlan is responsible of the delay (it may work in parallel) thanks jdd -- http://dodin.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

edit /etc/sysconfig/network/config and change WAIT_FOR_INTERFACES="30" I use 10, but need to wait. you may be happy with something around "5" and you can leave the card in the computer. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri Photos: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/piwigo paka @ IRCnet freenode -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I have been using IPv6 for years and never noticed any delay. Do you have IPv6 available? Also, are you using NetworkManager or Yast to configure your connections> -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
