Suse boot problem
I am trying to install Suse 7.0 on my laptop. The X installation wasn't proper.. and the machine directly goes to the graphical login.. how do I STOP getting into the graphical login..Is there anyway that I can get into an interactive boot and then choose not to run XSERVER? At the lilo prompt type:
linux 2 this will boot into runlevel 2, "console mode". Alternatively, if you computer will already up, press alt+ctrl+F1 to get a console login prompt. (F2-F6 will give you other prompts) and alt+ctrl+F7 will give you back the X login mode. Forgot to add that if you edit /etc/inittab and change the line: # default runlevel id:3:initdefault: to id:2:initdefault: it will be definte.... actually, you can do it through YaST.
