To keep the discussion on improvements and alternatives going: Some examples of alternative discussion and Q&A media: Discussion Mandrake User http://www.mandrakeuser.org Mandrake Forum http://www.mandrakeforum.com News with talkback KDE Dot News http://dot.kde.org LinuxToday http://linuxtoday.com To my mind, news with talkback is not as free-form as an all-in discussion medium, but then there is /. http://www.slashdot.org Bug reporting and tracking systems: SourceForge (eg. DRI) http://sourceforge.net/projects/dri KDE Bug Tracking System http://bugs.kde.org Bugzilla http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/ Having access to the bug tracking system would make it easier to see if a particular bug has been reported. In the case of the DRI project, the tracking system includes messages from users as well as developers and often lists diagnosis steps and workarounds as well as fixes.
