I want to make some custom case badges with a SuSE logo. However, I need to start out with some high-quality stock. I can't find anything like what I want on my system or online. Does anyone know where I can find some graphics to -- at least -- start with? Understand that when you order custom case badges, they need to be high-resolution, per the printer's instructions. I need a 600 dpi image, at 1" square. So I can't use little icons or such. Best case I can see right now is scanning the top, right corner of the manual and doing some serious work to it. Anyone know how to "bubblize" an image in gimp (or know where to point me) to make it look like the default SuSE KDE menu button? The official logos for press use are availabe at: http://www.suse.de/en/company/press/services/images/logos/index.html Be sure to read the restrictions at: http://www.suse.de/en/company/press/services/images/index.html They have some high res TIFF there which should take care of your problems. Although they are flat 2D looking. There are some good wallpapers with the SuSE logo at kde-look. Do a search on SuSE at the site: http://www.kde-look.org/content/files/4659-white_suse.png http://www.kde-look.org/content/files/4660-black_suse.png http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=2447 You will have to cut the logo out with gimp but it shouldn't be that hard. Thanks,
The first site has a number of linux case badges for a few bucks. None are Suse specific but do represent linux. http://www.directron.com/linuxbadges.html If you like to make your case really stand out from the rest, check some mod sites out. http://www.pcmods.com/ http://www.crazypc.com/products/casemods/casemods.htm
Hi Guys, Well I thought to my self "It's not as outrageous as the Flame decals some folks put on their cars; but then I saw the "Flame Maple case" on the first link shown. $400.00!!! PeterB On Thursday 01 May 2003 10:27 pm, John Murphy wrote:
