Doing an upgrade of icewm in 9.3 I ran into troubles with the older version, reason why I uninstalled the old icewm. After there was some complaining from Synaptic I decided to get rid of all old ice files. No idea that iceauth had nothing to do with icewm. Could somebody tell me what part of kde I have to look at in order to get my kde functioning again without loosing too much from my setup?

rpm -q --whatprovides /usr/X11R6/bin/iceauth will provide you with the name of the package that provides iceauth. Then reinstall it. ps: If you install/remove packages utilizing rpm or yast or smart or apt you will maintain the integrity of your rpm database and be able to determine what packages require which files, ie: rpm -ql <package-name> -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org HOG # US1244711 Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2
