The update cron file for SuSE 6.1 should be cron-3.0.1-84.i386.rpm not cron-3.0.1-82.i386.rpm. They must be the same file as I have both SuSE 6.1 and 6.2 boxes running. They are the same file at both directories. What's wrong with the original cron(s)? The one in 6.1 issues weird and erratic email messages to root (like telling me something about updatedb every minute for 45 minutes on ONE day, sometimes only a few messages, and sometimes none -- for something that's supposed to run once a day at 4:00 pm). I figured I'd just done something stupid... -- Cheers, Bev ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "I worry that the person who thought up Muzak may be thinking up something else." --Lily Tomlin -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
