This is not a highly important question, but one that has been meandering around in my head for a couple days now. Has anyone made audio/video/graphics demos for linux? Something like glgears, but more interesting. I remember back in the DOS days that there was always a small group of programmers that took pride in the challenge of doing things like making an executable that was 4096 bytes or less and contained 4 minutes of animations... but I've yet to see much of anything like this in the Linux world. The graphics demo thing is still alive in the MS world ( http://ths.demoscene.org/start.html ). Anyone have any pointers to something like what is on demoscene.org? C.
