I believe SLOX is based somewhat on SLES8 and the ldap stuff is geared more towards email/groupware (yast/webpage configuration stuff). I personally, after getting burnt on SLES9, would NOT try to configure SLOX for samba but rather just get it to do the email/groupware stuff.
