[SuSE Linux] Small screen solved!
as most of you know.. my ATI card was giving me a tiny desktop regardless what modes I used. After attending this mon llug meeting a few people suggested tweeking the modelines by hand. my original line modeline "640x480" 25.175 640 664 760 800 480 491 493 525 t tweeked line modeline "640x480" 25.250 710 710 747 802 605 605 629 630 note the first line has # of 640 480 the new resolution # seem to be 710 605 Ive tried using a 800x600 but no good. The above setting gives me a nice FULL screen! it took a heck of alot experimentin but success! rob -- Linux Home page <A HREF="http://www.connix.com/~dizzy73/LBM.htm</A">http://www.connix.com/~dizzy73/LBM.htm</A> - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A> and the archiv at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A>
