[opensuse] Question About KNetworkManager
I was having some frustration today with my dhcp lease at work. (I occasionally have a problem getting a new lease when I come to work.) I ran dhclient to renew the lease and also looked up some information on Novell Cool Solutions to review this. Unfortunately, all solutions involved me downgrading to the command line instead of letting me stay in the GUI. My next thought was to contact the KDE folks to ask about KNetworkManager. My question is this - who runs the KNetworkManager project? When I looked it up Knetworkmanager, the first link I got was at the openSUSE site: http://en.opensuse.org/Projects/KNetworkManager I figured it was a KDE project but it appears to be an openSUSE one? -- kai www.filesite.org || www.4thedadz.com || www.perfectreign.com remember - a turn signal is a statement, not a request -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

It would be interesting to know his Google search term and to see how it differed from yours, so the rest of us can get almost as good as Patrick at searching Google. Lets see those search strings gentlemen. Regards Hylton -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

General rule. If term alone has to many irrelevant hits, be more specific. And don't forget that Google has something special for linux: http://www.google.com/linux Besides that can be part of Firefox search: http://en.opensuse.org/Firefox_custom_search -- Regards, Rajko http://en.opensuse.org/Portal needs helpful hands. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

It's mainly Will Stephenson and me who work on KNetworkManager.

It is hosted in the KDE SVN but not tightly integrated with KDE yet. Helmut -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

What do you mean, not tightly integrated with KDE yet ;)? "-lkdecore" is pretty tight. Oh, you mean socially. Well, maybe not yet. Will -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
