How is this possible when the back button is greyed off?
Why have you taken this off the list? You asked the question on the list.
I didn't think I had. I was wondering the same about you... hehehehehe B-)

Look at settings. It has a function.

Perhaps there is something amiss with your installation. I have a functionable 'back' button (arrow). -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org HOG # US1244711 Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/photos

Yes, the back button is there, it just doesn't activate if you so a search. Try it out: 1. In Konqueror, go to the Help menu and select 'Konqueror Handbook'. 2. In the KDE Help Center, search for any term in the search field. 3. On the panel at the right side the search results will be displayed, but the Back button is still disabled and so you can't browse back to the Konqueror Handbook. I think this is the problem the original poster has noticed, and I can see it too. -- Andreas Philipp Noema Ltda. Bogotá, D.C. - Colombia

In fact, under settings is configure shortcuts - which seems to only map keyboard keys, not limit searches configure kde help center - which includes search scope for indexes that doesn't list konqueror handbook, and a html search tab to setup the engine used. configure fonts - which I really don't think includes a limited search for konquer handbook, correct me if I'm wrong on this please. If you ment the search tab, this also doesn't list konqueror handbook as a listed item. Maybe you could give some specifics as to where this function is....

I doubt it. the back button works if you go anywhere else, it just doesn't work if the first thing you do is type something in the text box and click search button. You can open help center from konqueror, type history in the search text box and click the search button exactly in that order and get a back button? B-)

Have you tried unchecking the different search sources under the Search tab?

Works that way here.
