Hi, I'm getting this message message at boot up. "IRQ Routing Conflict in pirq table! Try "pci=autoirq"". I've one small problem I don't know which file the adjustment should be in. Don't suppose one of you kind people come point me in the right direction? b stephen harding Black & White Rhino Press ----------------------------------------------- "A man is involved in life, leaves his impression on it, and outside of that there is nothing." If you haven't already done so, try changing your machine's BIOS for "Non-PnP OS installed". This allows the MB more freedom in choosing IRQs. If that fails, you might try swapping cards around among the PCI slots. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- John Karns jkarns@csd.net On Wed, 14 Mar 2001, b stephen harding said:

This is a kernel parameter. You can either enter it after the name of the kernel at the LILO prompt, or, for a more permanent solution, place it in your /etc/lilo.conf as a line that says: append="pci=autoirq" inside the section for your kernel. If there's already an append line, then add the command inside the quotation marks for the append statement. Don't forget to rerun LILO afterwards. Hi, I also have a DFE-530TX (but without the "+" sign), which also reports same IRQ (IRQ # 11) for two devices (which I don't know what the other device was). However, as PCI allows IRQ sharing and that seems it runs ok, I just let it be. By the way, the driver module of the D-Link card is called "via-rhine" which you may find inside "/etc/rc.modules". Regards, Raymond. b stephen harding wrote:
