im always having compile problems with SuSE
Hello all, How come I always have a problem with compiling apps on my SuSE? Here's my problem. I downloaded kmymoney2 and unpacked it. I then run ./configure --with-qt-dir=/usr/lib/qt --prefix=/opt/kde2. I then keep getting an error that I need qt >=2.2.2. but I checked my system "rpm -qa | grep qt" and it returned qt-devel-2.2.3-7 qt- 2.2.3-7. appearantly I have qt >= 2.2.2 but ./configure complains I don't. Any suggestions? TIA -- David M. ICQ: 96210352 AIM: dmcglone27

On my machine /usr/lib/qt points to QT1 and /usr/lib/qt2 point the the QT-2 Maybe yours too. Mark

If that is the case, the configure script for whatever software it is you're trying to build might take a flag like --with-qt=/path/to/qt which would reference the path to the QT libraries ./configure --help normally lists most if not all the available flags -- James Ogley, Unix System Administrator, Pinnacle.Net james.ogley@pinnacle.co.uk +44 20 8731 3619 Listening to the sound of the coming rain... *********************************************************************** CONFIDENTIALITY. Being a little more specific then: try --with-qt-dir=/usr/lib/qt2 Regards Mark
