Matt:
Nothing personal to you, but that's just plain retarded to have a web page that won't view in Internet Explorer. Ok, so some folks use Netscape and others use IE. Does that mean because so many pages out there are poorly written and won't suppport Netscape properly, that we start writing pages to not support IE? Quite frankly, I want to be able to view a page regardless of the browser I'm using, and if HTML writer isn't smart enough to write the page properly, too bad for them. I'll go somewhere else and use something else.
You guys don't get it, do you? He's not trying to convert the unconverted. He's showing Linux users what can be done, it's just eye candy so it's not like IE users are missing out on some groundshaking information. If you run Linux at home and have good bandwidth at home, check it out when you get home. AFAIK IE doesn't run on Linux, does it? If he is precluding the latest Mozilla release or other Open Source browsers from viewing his page then he's being stupid. But as far as not being able to view it with IE, BFD. I use Navigator at work because as a home Linux user it's what I use at home. Why the hell would I use different browsers at home and at work if one is available on both OSes? Ah, craaaaaap =) At least I've given you chaps something else to talk about =)

I took Greg's point of view here when I tried to show the site to a couple of colleagues in the office, one was using IE and the other Netscape (both on Win32).....and had a bit of a chuckle. <snipped some stuff> I personally don't think it's a this browser is better than that browser kinda thing. Don't forget that Rasterman is an opensource dude and looks to have made the assumption that most people viewing his site will be using netscape (as it's shipped in all distros). Oh, don't make any personnal attacks on Raster as he's not on the this list to defend himself. If you wish to do so then I suggest subbing to the e-development list and trying it there.
