Hello how I open port upd 514? Should I do it with yast2 or direct with in /etc/inetd.conf. Has anybody an example? Is this port per default open or closed (suse 8.0). thanks Oliver

Yo open a port, you need a service running (listening) on this port. The ports are not open or closed like a door, you need a service listening in this port to be open
