Thanks - I looked at the README, but it says I need to download the boot.iso image and burn it to a CD. Unfortunately, there's no boot/boot.iso for 9.3 on the ftp server yet.

And not likely to be one for a couple of weeks. The ftp version usually doesn't show up till a month after the current one has shipped. Keep checking your favorite mirror. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998 "The day Microsoft makes something that doesn't suck is probably the day they start making vacuum cleaners." -Ernst Jan Plugge -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com
Sorry to but in, but I am curious, What about coping the 5 install discs to a folder and making it available via anonymous FTP? I can get it working on and RH based distro but not SuSE Chad On Tuesday 19 April 2005 23:20, Cleary_Mike@emc.com wrote:

Yep. That's what we did except we copied the dvd and used nfs. But that means you've bought the dvd in the first place. I think the op wanted it for free via ftp.

haven't tried it with 9.3 yet but with both 9.1 and 9.2 you could easily create an ftp/http install source by doing this in a folder that's ftp/http accessible. 0. create 5 folders, one for each cd, called CD1,CD2,CD3,CD4, and CD5 (use uppercase CD) 1. copy the contents of each cd, or mount an iso of the respective cd, under their respective folder. 2. when you start your network install, point to http://[path]/CD1 as the install source. i think that should do it, let me know if any questions or problems.
