skype unusable after latest update
Using Skype for a very long time but this is the first time that it only shows two big frame of me and my contact. Not very nice and every effort to get it working with the big frame with my contact and myself in a small picture in the right side of the screen was unsuccessful. How to get a useful Skype back

So, which distribution are you using? TW? Skype ships as Electron App, meaning it ships with a built-in browser. For up-to-date client, skype should be accessed as a web application https://web.skype.com/ And they support Google Chrome as browser, not Firefox or Chromium. - Adam

I'm using Skype and Teams regularly for remote training sessions. My advice: use the Flatpak versions. They JustWork(tm). using flatpak as well on leap 15.4 flatpak list Name Application ID Version Branch Installation Skype com.skype.Client 8.87.0.403 stable system Freedesktop Platform org.freedesktop.Platform 21.08.15 21.08 system Mesa org.freedesktop.Platform.GL.default 21.3.9 21.08 system openh264 org.freedesktop.Platform.openh264 2.1.0 2.0 system Breeze GTK theme org.gtk.Gtk3theme.Breeze 5.25.4 3.22 system skype eats kind of load of useless cpu when even idle though. same on windows. too bad. ty
