What is technically the difference between the packages proxychains and proxychains-ng?
I tried to understand but they seem identical. Is one a fork? Why was it forked then? Because both claim to do the very same thing AFAIU.
Did you look at last release dates of both projects?
I suspect 'ng' as an English-centric abbreviation for 'next generation' probably wasn't readily apparent to the OP. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Hum, I am going to be more "explicit". Why does proxychain stay in the repo
Where do you see it? I do not see proxychains either in Leap 42.1 or on s.o.o in general.

proxychains = packman proxychains-ng = Leap Before you say the obvious: it is not in the official repo. My doubt is/was that it is an analogue to ffmpeg- chromium ffmpegsumo-chromium or libxine vs. xinelib so, the question is: does one s.th. that the other does / doesn't/should / shouldn't do? --- Alle Postfächer an einem Ort.
