I had shlibs6-98.8.5-0 installed and tried to install 4.5 and it puked with the same message (Illegal)
I run a stock 5.3 with everything I need installed.
Be nice if Lenz or Bodo were on the list to look into this.
There're a couple of threads in the NG Communicator For Unix, on secnews.netscape.com which point out there was a problem with the early posts of v4.5, libc5. Apparently the ftp files were corrected Tuesday. Downloaded ver.4.5, libc5 on Friday...it installed on 5.3 without a hitch and it's runnin' smooth. I'd gotten numerous DNS resolution errors with the 4.05 version (which behavior is addressed in the 4.5 release notes), but 4.5 is OK so far. Now just gotta find a conversion utility to move all my archived mail from M$ .pst files over to Netscape! Tom
