I've set up a filter to delete the messages based on the subject. If someone knows what the e-mail address is of the person, then they could unsubscribe them. It should be fixed Monday.

Hi, orry for all this mess, but two independent things came together in a very bad constellation. First these pager service went crazy and send 100s of mails to the list. This went on until early monday, then these mails could stopped (sorry, but I've been away from my mail on the weekend). But then... ...a FIDO gate in Italy started to bounce all messages back to the list. Not only this, but it also exchanged all header information, so that our loop detection didn't see these messages as bounces. The gateway also seemed to have a hole bunch of old mails, including all the pager messages, and send them back to the list. I removed some thousand of these mails out of our mail queue and right now I'm setting up an enhanced filter to catch these messages, so things will get better! Both of these events are out of our control. All we can do is try to minimize the damage. I apologize for all this, but be asured, that we do what we can to keep this list free of all this junk.
