Morning/Evening all, I have been Given a task at work that requires me to load Sun Solaris 8 for Intel on one of my home computers to develop some courseware for a commercial product. Solaris can use my laptop monitor as a 16 color monitor which is sufficient for what I need. It can not however use my PCMCIA network cards. I have been advised that if I can stop the PCMCIA card services, then Solaris 8, will be able to find my old Xircom card and use it. I am hoping that someone here on this list will be able to help me identify the card services in the bios, I can find Card Services or PCMCIA listed, and advise me how to turn them off. I will be using my Linux laptop for this so I will need to re-enable the card services in about 10 weeks time when I have finished with Solaris. Any and All help will be greatly appreciated.
