[opensuse] Creative Live! webcam problems
I have a Creative Live! USB webcam, which used to work. I haven't played with it for a while, so please don't ask what I changed - I can't remember. :( My system is openSUSE 11.1, Kernel 2.6.27.21-0.1-default, KDE 4.2.2 dmesg contains the following lines: usb 2-5: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 3 usb 2-5: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice usb 2-5: New USB device found, idVendor=041e, idProduct=4036 usb 2-5: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=0 usb 2-5: Product: WebCam Live! usb 2-5: Manufacturer: Creative Labs gspca: main v2.2.0 registered gspca: probing 041e:4036 zc3xx: probe 2wr ov vga 0x0000 zc3xx: probe sensor -> 11 zc3xx: Find Sensor HV7131R(c) gspca: probe ok usbcore: registered new interface driver zc3xx zc3xx: registered zc3xx: probe 2wr ov vga 0x0000 However, gqcam just shows a squashed set of coloured lines right at the top of of the viewing window, and Ekiga gives an "Error while accessing video device Webcam Live! Your driver doesn't seem to support any of the color formats supported by Ekiga. Please check your kernel driver documentation in order to determine which Palette is supported." Can anyone suggest what's gone wrong here, please?
