Hello Linux folks! Does somebody know if it possible to install SUN Solaris programs and applications on Linux box? I want to use Electronic Design Software distributed for SUN workstations on my Linux box. Do I need re-compile this software? Any suggestions are gladly appreciated. Thanks, Alex

If you have the source, it couldn't hurt, the worst thing it could do would be gcc giving you an error message. If you don't have the source, I think there is an emulater for Solaris X86 programs iBCS (IIRC??) under Linux. If it is a Solaris Sparc program, I think your out of luck if you don't have the source or a port or the x86 version.
