I have looked extensively at the KDE website and in the KDE help pages, but i cannot find out in which directory files related to a particular "style" should go. As a specific example, I am trying to install the Acqua theme and style. The them I can install from the KDE Control Center. The style does not show up under Style in the Control Center. The install script for the Acqua style puts the relevant files in ~/.kde/share/apps/kstyle I believe that the files need to go somewhere in ~/.kde2/share maybe in apps or pixmaps. but I can't figure it out Any help would be appreciated, or a pointer to the relevant documentation. I think they go here. I haven't checked but it is the only logical directory that I found. (This is in kde 2.2.1) ~/.kde2/share/apps/kstyle/themes Let us know if this works. Jethro
Jethro,

~/.kde2/share/apps/kstyle/themes

Worked fine. Seems kind of obvious after you pointed it out. I didn't have a /kstyle directory in ~/.kde2/share/apps but after creating it and moving the files there, everything worked fine.
