In my machine, i have 2 sata-disk connected on my raid controller as mirror(MSI motherboard with NFORCE3 , amd 64 bit). In the raid disks is installed windows XP. I put one ide hard-disk to install SuSE 9.1 (64 bit). In the installation procedure, the yast partitioner module can't undestand the raid and "see" them as hde and hdg ( with the partions as hde2-hde3 and hdg2-hdg3). This in not a real problem since i want to intall the suse on my ide drive (hdd). The installation ends succesufully, but when it comes to reboot the bootlader won't load and boots only to windows. When i use the installation cd and boot from it, after the first menu appears (boot from hard disk, installation etc.) , and choose the boot from hard disk, then grub appears with the below options Linux -> (boots fine) Windows1-->root (hd0,0) Windows2-->root(hd1,0) Windows3-->root(dh0,1) Failsafe None of the windows options boots the windows. Two questions 1)I allready try to install grub to hde using the yast module, but nothing happens. Where the grub should be installed? 2)Why windows is not booting? P.S. Now i am booting using a floppy if i want to boot to linux, and if i want to boot to windows i just remove tde floppy!!!
