I installed mtink-1.0.1-1.i586.rpm on a 32-bit Desktop PC running SuSE 9.1 I would like to install MTink on my laptop as well. But my laptop is 64-bit architecture and runs SuSe 9.3 Will the same MTink version be OK ? When I install the rpm file: # rpm -Uvh <filename> Should I be root or can I be a regular user ? Thank you so much. Maura

RPM's are always installed from root. Scott -- POPFile, the OpenSource EMail Classifier http://popfile.sourceforge.net/ Linux 2.6.11.4-21.9-default x86_64 SuSE Linux 9.3 (x86-64)

you must be root or use the sudo command (your SysAdmin must grant you access to the rpm command) HTH, Martin
