[SLE] Cheap SCSI Card

Hi, I have an old SCSI Zip drive (external) and I like to connect it to the linux PC's we have at work, so I can easily transfer files from home (Mac) to Work (linux). Since the main bottleneck is in the Zip drive I'm not looking for a fast SCSI card, just one that will work with the 25 pin Macintosh SCSI cable (a cable to connect the zip to a modern SCSI system would probably be more expensive than what I was planning on spending). Any suggestions? Maarten Sneep proportional to the cost of the carpet.

Hi Maarten, hi everyone. I got an Adaptec 2904. It cost 10 000 pesetas (Euros 60?) and works great with my Umax scanner using the AIX driver. hope this helps. Steve On Wed, 21 Jun 2000, you wrote:

I'm using a Tekram 315U SCSI-2 card that I got for $25 USD. You will need an adaptor since the 315U has an external 50-pin connector, but those usually run about $10 USD. You might be able to find the plain 315 that has an external 25-pin connector. Works great under Linux and Windows, but it doesn't have a boot BIOS for that price.
