[SLE] configuring Postfix /w dialup ISP
Hi. I'm trying to configure Postfix on my stand alone PC to handle remote mail via my dialup ISP. Although my mail client, Mutt, gets the 'to:' and 'from:' header addresses correct, it appears Postfix changes my 'from:' address en route. My ISP rejects my mail: "Sender domain must exist." My header as made by Mutt: From: ashley <ashleyg@dnai.com> To: ashley <ashleyg@dnai.com> Cc: Bcc: Subject: test4 Reply-To: ashley <ashleyg@dnai.com> /var/log/mail: May 29 23:06:04 alban postfix/pickup[2011]: 422A9184ED: uid=500 from=<ashley> May 29 23:06:04 alban postfix/cleanup[2018]: 422A9184ED: message-id=<20000529230604.B1888@alban.local> May 29 23:06:04 alban postfix/qmgr[193]: 422A9184ED: from=<ashley@alban.local>, size=534 (queue active) May 29 23:06:07 alban postfix/smtp[2019]: 422A9184ED: to=<ashleyg@dnai.com>, relay=mail2.dnai.com[207.181.194.95],delay=3, status=bounced (host mail2.dnai.com[207.181.194.95] said: 501 <ashley@alban.local>...
