Hi all,
I have an internal SCSI HP-DDS2 tape drive on my Linux box.. My system (at under 2 Gb ) .. is small enough to be backed up fully ...
Is K-dat a good enough utility for this task ? I haven't tried 'taper' yet ...
No, Kdat is awful. It backs up but it messes the indexes up so when you restore one file, it restores a different one. As far as I know this is still the case. taper worked very well for me. I've been using the free version of arkeia but will probably return to taper.
