Yea, once in a while. When it happens it's usually after a reboot. I just do a cnt-alt-bksp and relogin in and all is ok. Mark Hounschell dmarkh@cfl.rr.com

No, but I have had most of the menu items dissapear, where the only 'fix' seam to be add another K menu to the panel, and delete the old one. Phil -- Linux 2.4.4-4GB 12:48pm up 1 day, 13:44, 1 user, load average: 0.27, 0.15, 0.18

I did. Something between the upgrade to KDE2.2beta and the upgrade to 7.2 broke my normal user account. It kept complaining that it couldn't load mime types. I finally broke down and deleted the user and created myself again. Actaully not only didn't Kstart not work but I lost the menus. Lost everything. I still can't login to root from KDM. Not sure whats up with that. Or for that matter select anything but default or failsafe from KDM. Also every user on the system shows up not just those listed in rc.config. Yast wouldn't let me create a new user either. It kept wanting to throw away what I entered. Ended up doing it by hand. Lucky I remembered how. Of course everything seems to work fine now [except for root and KDM problems] Nick
