Does any one has experience with the Samsung printers using their proprietary Linux drivers (ex. Samsung CLP-510N)? -- Regards, Lívio Cipriano -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I have a Samsung CLP-510N running on my system at home. The Samsung-provided drivers are a crutch. They do not deliver the highest resolution (only 600 dpi vs. 1200 dpi for the windows drivers). They also don't work on a 64 bit system. I have solved my problem by running a 32bit SuSE 10.0 virtual machine in a vmware window which acts as my printer server. All the printjobs from the various linux PC's in my house get sent to that virtual server.
