Hi! I have SuSE Linux 7.3 Pro. I wanna play .asf and .asx file on Linux. What I must do, install, configure to do that? Is it really a complex task that takes a lot of days?? And if too I wanne play divx, what can I must do, configure, intall to do that?? Nope. You need avifile (a recent CVS snapshot, preferably), and the Win32 codecs to start with, so head here: http://avifile.sourceforge.net/

Look again - it's must have been a while since you read the MPlayer pages - first the website is not at sourceforge anymore... it's at: http://www.mplayerhq.hu and second, it plays pretty much every video format under the sun, including RealPlayer and Quicktime (except anything encoded with the QT Sorenson codec). It also plays .asf and .asx (.wma and .wmv too) quite nicely... no need for separate players... just one to do it all. C. -- This is Linux country.
