[opensuse] tv-out configuration
Hello: My system is openSUSE 10.3 with kde 3.5.10 "release 28.1". I have nvidia geforce 6200 card. Graphics driver is x11-video- nvidiaG01-173.14.12-0.1, nvidia-gfxG01-kmp- default-173.14.12_2.6.22.18_0.2-0.1. I set up TV-out (as separate X screen, not TwinView) but have the following problems: 1. On the TV screen windows have no border and can not be moved. How could I change this? Where the settings for the secondary screen can be set in kde? 2. The monitor's and the TV's resolutions are different, set to: monitor - 1400x1050, TV - 1024x768. If I play a movie on the TV in full screen mode, the edges of the movie are beyond the edge of the screen. It seems that full screen mode on the TV is not 1024x768 but 1400x1050. Is it possible to change this so that TV's full screen would be 1024x768? TIA, IG

________________________________________________________
Egyszerű megoldás: Diákhitel! You should have a program found in menu under system > configuration, called NVIDIA X Server Settings and this should enable you ( I have a 6200TC but haven't used tv out yet) to change the settings. It also has a detect displays function. I'm not sure but you seem to be using the rpm nvidia driver package which may not give as good an nvidia-settings program as the run package from www.nvidia.com but you need kernel sources installed to use the run package.
