librsync - Where is it?
(SuSE 9.0) I installed librsync using Synaptic. The install seemed to go okay but I can't find librsync anywhere. Can anyone point me in the right direction here? Any thoughts will be appreciated. Don Henson

whereis librsync
Have you tried "whereis librsync". I did not install it via Synaptic, but on my system: librsync: /usr/lib/librsync.la /usr/lib/librsync.a /usr/local/lib/librsync.la /usr/local/lib/librsync.a /usr/include/librsync.h /usr/share/man/man3/librsync.3.gz If that doesn't work "find / -name \*librsync\* > /tmp/filelist; more /tmp/filelist" should tell you more than you want to know. whereis librsync
librsync: /usr/lib/librsync.la /usr/lib/librsync.a /usr/local/lib/librsync.la /usr/local/lib/librsync.a /usr/include/librsync.h /usr/share/man/man3/librsync.3.gz

rpm -ql librsync will tell you the contents of the package and where it's placed

So I should direct my where is it to the system rather than to the list? :-) I actually didn't know about the whereis command. That's one I'll have to remember. Thanks for responding so quickly. Don Henson
