[SLE] XFCE and Other WM's
I installed XFCE but now I want to load KDE again. I tried "startx kde" and "startx kdm", without the quotes, but it insists on loading xfce. I even tried setting the system wide default WM to KDE, still with no luck. What am I missing here? Thanks. Check the .xinitrc file in whomever's home directory you're starting X from. Comment the line with exec xfwm and uncomment startkde. IIRC the .xinitrc overrides whatever system wide variable that is set. If you're using my KDE hack, you should be able to replace your .xinitrc with the one from /etc/skel/ and be just fine. -- -=|JP|=- Jon Pennington | Atipa Linux Solutions -o) jpennington@atipa.com | Kansas City, MO /\\ 816-241-2641 x107 | http://www.atipa.com _\_V -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
