[opensuse] openSUSE 11.1 "GNOME_STABLE_2.26" Zypper Priority Settings
Hello friends, I updated my previous openSUSE 11.1 Gnome 2.24, to latest 2.26.3, by adding the specified repos to zypper, as per openSUSE directions: http://en.opensuse.org/GNOME/2.26 Currently both GNOME_STABLE_2.26 as GNOME_Backports, have priority set to 19, in order to take vantage against updates repo, which is set to 20 as per default. Wonder if: 1- have I to maintain the higher priority to GNOME 2.26 repos over all the others, or can I switch them down to 99? 2- have I to use "zypper dup" whenever I wish to upgrade my GNOME, or it is necessary only the first time? I'll keep as is. GNOME 2.26 should be self contained.
2- have I to use "zypper dup" whenever I wish to upgrade my GNOME, or it is necessary only the first time?
Only first time to skip problems with vendor change to openSUSE Build Service. The 'zypper up' will ask user if he wants to change vendor, and with upgrade like yours it will produce avalanche of questions to allow change, but for regular updates it is good to know if zypper has plans to change vendor, if problem occurs you know that might be a problem. -- Regards, Rajko People of openSUSE editor. Thanks Rajko, So I will let my settings as they are currently and I'll keep using "zypper up" to get my updates. Cheers, -- opensuse 11.1 - Linux 2.6.27.29-0.1-default x86_64 AMD Turion(tm) 64 Mobile Technology MK-36 - GeForce Go 6150 Gnome 2.26.3
