Hello all, Today i have noticed a strange problem with Pure-FTP. I use pure-ftpd-1.0.21-182.33.2 on OpenSuSE 11.1 (x86_64) with virtual users stored into the PureDB user database. An ftp user have a limitation from the IP Address he can connect. His entry into the puredb.passwd is something like this: ftp04:$XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:1001:1005::/home/ftpusers/ftp04/./::::::::::151.1.1.1:: This means the user ftp04 is usable only from the IP address 151.1.1.1, right? Well, not in this case. For some strange reason, that IP into the PureDB file is ignored, and anyone can connect with that ftp user. Note: when i have edited the PureDB database, i have also recreated the database with the command pure-pw mkdb.... so the database is up to date. I have noticied today because i have added another IP address, and a customer that previously can connect without IP authorization, now can't connect. So, now the IP rule is now working, previously not, without any apparent reason.. That system have Verbose Log setted to yes, but into the logs i have the unauthorized IP with that user, but no signs of software problems or misconfiguration of any type. Now i am trying to recreate the same situation into a similar system, without any success: the IP filter is always working. Anyone have experienced a problem like this and can put me on the right way for the comprension of that strange situation? Any help is well accepted.
