I don't know if Prime95 is available for Linux. I think is free. It has three tests in its "Turture test", the default one is the third one that focuses on memory. Run it. If you get an error, most likelly your memory is bad. I had a problem like that; the store I got the parts from said they run a mem test and that it was OK but it was not. Dear list, the error, actually, is:
kernel: __alloc_pages: 0-order allocation failed (gfp=0xf0/0)

Ah! Yes, I ran memtest and I had no errors.
Someone in this list is able to help me?
Linux 2.4.10-64GB-SMP i686 system.
Did you check the power supply? There has been many posts on this list of late about failing PS's, perhaps that is your problem. Especially since you are running 7.3 which suggests an older PC. -- Ken Schneider unix user since 1989 linux user since 1994 SuSE user since 1998 (5.2) -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com
