One other thing related to this, if you upgrade to the kde version available @ ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/supplementary/KDE/update_for_9.1/ (3.2.3?) the kmenuedit problem is resolved. However, the sub-menus are no longer broken out by categories (i.e. Internet-->Web Browsers) but instead bunched up with a sub-menu of "other programs" (as I recall). Keith -----Original Message----- From: Burgess, Keith This happened after the latest KDE security updates (SuSE 9.1). I posted numerous times to this list but no response as of yet so the only thing I can suggest is to go back to the kde rpms from the SuSE CDs/DVD/FTP. You could also whack what's in ~\.config to go back to the stock menu. Once you add/remove/modify anything, however, using kmenuedit, your menus (as they appear in kmenuedit) will be all screwed up. I'm currently upgrading(?), and I'll see what happens. Prior to starting, I went into the menu editor and opened all the submenus and took several snapshots, so that I can remember where everything came from. burgeke@HQ.VerizonWireless.com wrote:

I have just updated KDE to 3.2.3, and so far nothing has blown up. ;-) Also, my menu remained intact. James Knott wrote:
