[opensuse] OpenSuSE 10.2: Device naming problem with ndiswrapper
Dear mailing list, I've upgraded OpenSuSE 10.1 to 10.2 yesterday and now have a strange device naming problem with ndiswrapper. On every boot ndiswrapper is naming the wireless device differently. Sometimes it's wlan1, sometimes wlan2 or wlan3. Interesting outputs from the boot process are: wlan0 renamed to wlanxx0 ndiswrapper: changing interface name from 'wlan0' to 'wlanxx0' wlanxx0 renamed to wlan1 ndiswrapper: changing interface name from 'wlanxx0' to 'wlan1' ndiswrapper is version 1.25, kernel is 2.6.18.2. Any idea? -- Sincerely Sven Jacobs -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

More info needed. Which card are you using ndiswrapper with? -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

This is a D-Link DWL-G520+. I'm using driver version 2.0.4. It worked fine before the upgrade. -- Sincerely Sven Jacobs -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
