[opensuse] Pre-ordering a boxed set
At http://www.open-slx.com/doku.php you supposedly can order a boxed set of 11.2. When you go to preorder it I get This item cannot be shipped to the address you selected. Is this an amazon.co.uk mistake or something more sinister?? Yes my address was entered correctly. Since you don't say even in what country your address is, I doubt anybody can answer your question. I was quite surprised to receive an extra offer "Get Microsoft Office Home and Student for Bundle Offers, 3-user licence (PC) for only £54.99 when you add it to your order" and to see in the Opensuse product description: "Compatible with Microsoft Office Suite". So you didn't think that these statements on the page you referenced were significant? "openSUSE 11.2 can be preorderd *in EMEA* now at Amazon.co.uk" and "We are working hard to start *shipment in north america very soon*." (my emphasis :) Cheers, Dave -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

"openSUSE 11.2 can be preorderd *in EMEA* now at Amazon.co.uk"
Am I supposed to know what in EMEA really is. Looked like something internal to Amazon.com.uk to me. I guess it means only if you are in Europe can you pre-order. That's stupider than I.
"We are working hard to start *shipment in north america very soon*."
This was just to preorder. I didn't expect it to ship yet. So that was of no significance to me. Thanks for the clarification Mark -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

It is a pretty common IT industry term for "Europe, the Middle East and Africa" : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EMEA /Per -- Per Jessen, Zürich (10.3°C) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

So it's been over 2 months now. When is it going to be available? What's the holdup? Contractual obligations to MS??? This is flippin ridiculous. Mark -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
