RE: [SLE] Getting errors from mailservers: domain not found, doma in must exist, etc.
It sounds like an improperly set up spam filter. I say that because I and several others on the list recieved similiar messages about a week or two ago. Are the rejections coming from the same place or several different domains? If the former the problem is not on your end, there is little you can do about it. If the domains are all different make sure they are truely different not just aliases. Tim

Hi,
SuSE 6.0 is acting as the main server of the ISP I'm working for. Sometimes I get the message from mailservers saying that my domain was not found, was not properly configured or does not fit in my servers advertising...
What can I do about this?
Here's part of my zonefile:
@ IN SOA ns.guldennet.nl. hostmaster.guldennet.nl. ( 1999121401 ; Serial (yyyymmdd##) 10800 ; Refresh 3600 ; Retry 604800 ; Expire 86400) ; Minimum ; IN NS ns.guldennet.nl. IN NS ns.inn.nl. IN NS ns1.adam.ixe.net. IN MX 100 mail.guldennet.nl. mailsubdom IN MX 5 mail.guldennet.nl. localhost IN A 127.0.0.1 ns IN A 195.81.35.224 www IN A 195.81.35.224 mail IN A 195.81.35.224 proxy IN CNAME www.guldennet.nl. alias1 IN CNAME www.guldennet.nl. alias2 IN CNAME www.guldennet.nl. alias3 IN CNAME www.guldennet.nl. alias4 IN CNAME www.guldennet.nl.
reverse:
224 IN PTR guldennet.nl.
Is something wrong here apart from the fact that some names are A and other are CNAME?
TIA,
Rogier
