Suse Tumbleweed: VirtualBox 7.0.4-2.1: none of the virtual machines starts up
Tried to start one of my virtual machines, that were all working with Virtualbox 6.1.X, but it got stuck in the black boot screen. Same for all other virtual machines, that were working on the previous 6.1.X versions. Does anybody have a solution for this on Suse Tumbleweed? Is there a way to install the old 6.X-rpm? Is there some build instruction for building older versions from source? I was looking on the Oracle page and they seem to be Suse 15.3/15.4 oriented. BR

Sounds similar to https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/578605-Virtualbox-7-0-4-finally-t...

Tried "disable 3D acceleration Boot into windows 10 Install the guest addons for VB7 Shutdown enable 3D acceleration" according to https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/578605-Virtualbox-7-0-4-finally-t... for my virtual ubuntu with the VBoxGuestAdditions_7.0.4.iso from here: https://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/7.0.4/ but the virtual machine only starts if 3D acceleration is turned off. So for the time being it works with 3D acceleration off. Am 04/12/2022 um 16:25 schrieb Peter Maffter:

Well, I had quite similar issue with Leap 15.4 Xfce under QEMU with virgl. While Xfce session was started, nothing was shown on the screen. Booting with disabled OpenGL worked correctly. After update of virgl from 0.9.1 to 0.10.3 it boots normally. So it could be some bug in VirtualBox.
