I assume what you mean by this is that the machine you'll be using to demonstrate linux will be running Windows. imho from a general perspective, this will never work successfully.

Either use Linux to demonstrate Linux or simply do not do it. Even vmware will do if you do not have anything else than a windows.machine.

That works but unfortunately demonstrates how slow Linux is (while being demonstrated).
