What's on the ftp server and it's mirrors are distributions that are designed to be installed via ftp (or nfs), not burned onto a cd. Please read http://sdb.suse.de/sdb/en/html/lmuelle_suselinux_internet.html This explains how to do the installation via ftp. But to answer your question, you'll need to download everything and follow the directions in the readme in /pub/suse/i386/7.3 regarding the ramdisk image. Please don't try this...it's much easier and faster to do the ftp installation. -- -ckm

I completed all the entries correctly, except for username and password for the ftp server. In Yast and yast2 these are already filled in. I have no idea what they are.
username: ftp passwd: your email address -- -ckm

That worked. The main problem was a Linksys router that would not let suse back into my system.
What problem? I have an Etherfast router, and have done a couple of FTP installs through it without problems. Is yours over-configured? -- -=|JP|=- '01 B15 SE/PP | http://www.xanga.com/cowboydren/ | <))>< '95 SL2 Auto | cowboydren @ yahoo . com | _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
