Suggestion for SuSE web site (and SuSE Linux)
Sometimes I need to install just one RPM, and know that it's on the CD but can't find it. On Red Hat's web site they have a search engine so you can search for RPMs by name. Apparently it indexes all of the RPMs on their FTP server. It would be really cool if SuSE would have something like that, and also, if it's on the CD, if the search engine would report what series the designated RPM is in on the CD. For that matter, it would be handy if YaST had a search function in the "Change/Create Configuration" submenu that would search for included RPMs by name. Even cooler would be if it could also search for files by name and tell you what RPM it's in.. Just an idea.... ---------------------------------------- Jonathan Wilson System Administrator Cedar Creek Software http://www.cedarcreeksoftware.com Central Texas IT http://www.centraltexasit.com
