I have the same problem with Acrobat. If you find a solution .. let me know. I guess I can putz with it tomorrow. It's the only app that has done this so far.
Hi there . I had the same problem with previous XFfree instalation. The problem is your fonts for applications are not specified in the XFree version you are using and also edit your Xfree conf file and include path to any extra fonts you have in in your system even ones from your previous XFree version because new X server dos not get correct paths automatically. It`s definitely your X conf file ,you need to keep the fonts paths in it. Just so everyone knows. It was actually a problem with KDE2 trying to put it's fonts, colours and other things on non-kde apps. I found this out after I had removed the .kde2 directory (which I am not that upset about because my .kde2 directory has been there since KDE2 alpha 2). It all works now :) ->I had the same problem with previous XFfree instalation. The problem is your ->fonts for applications are not specified in the XFree version you are using ->and also edit your Xfree conf file and include path to any extra fonts you ->have in in your system even ones from your previous XFree version because new ->X server dos not get correct paths automatically. It`s definitely your X conf ->file ,you need to keep the fonts paths in it. -- Ben Rosenberg mailto:ben@whack.org ----- "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." -Benjamin Franklin
