I am trying to play DVDs via Totem. OS is Suse 10. Followed the instructions typically given to do this (The Jem Report => http://www.thejemreport.com/mambo/content/view/178/42/) However, I am unable to mount DVD drive. When I start up Totem, and select option, "play CD/DVD" it gives me this error message: Failed to play Audio/Video Disc Failed to find mountpoint for device /dev/hdb in /etc/fstab. My current /etc/fstab file has the following entries: /dev/hda1 / reiserfs acl,user_xattr 1 1 /dev/hda5 swap swap defaults 0 0 proc /proc proc defaults 0 0 sysfs /sys sysfs noauto 0 0 usbfs /proc/bus/usb usbfs noauto 0 0 devpts /dev/pts devpts mode=0620,gid=5 0 0 /dev/dvd /media/dvd subfs noauto,fs=cdfss,ro,procuid,nosuid,nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0 /dev/fd0 /media/floppy subfs noauto,fs=floppyfss, procuid, nodev, nosuid, sync 0 0 none /subdomain subdomainfs noauto 0 0 /dev/dvd2 /media/dvd2 subfs noauto,fs=cdfss,ro,procuid,nosuid,nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0 /dev/sda1 /usb1 auto noauto, user 0 0 How do I add such an entry? It looks like an entry for the DVD drive already exits: /media/dvd and /media/dvd2 (I am assuming the double entries are for both cdrom and DVD reading ability?). Thanks for your help.

I am trying to play DVDs via Totem. OS is Suse 10.
Followed the instructions typically given to do this (The Jem Report => http://www.thejemreport.com/mambo/content/view/178/42/)
However, I am unable to mount DVD drive. When I start up Totem, and select option, "play CD/DVD" it gives me this error message:
Failed to play Audio/Video Disc
Failed to find mountpoint for device /dev/hdb in /etc/fstab.
My current /etc/fstab file has the following entries:
/dev/hda1 / reiserfs acl,user_xattr 1 1 /dev/hda5 swap swap defaults 0 0 proc /proc proc defaults 0 0 sysfs /sys sysfs noauto 0 0 usbfs /proc/bus/usb usbfs noauto 0 0 devpts /dev/pts devpts mode=0620,gid=5 0 0 /dev/dvd /media/dvd subfs noauto,fs=cdfss,ro,procuid,nosuid,nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0 /dev/fd0 /media/floppy subfs noauto,fs=floppyfss,procuid,nodev,nosuid,sync 0 0 none /subdomain subdomainfs noauto 0 0 /dev/dvd2 /media/dvd2 subfs noauto,fs=cdfss,ro,procuid,nosuid,nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0 /dev/sda1 /usb1 auto noauto,user 0 0
How do I add such an entry? It looks like an entry for the DVD drive already exits: /media/dvd and /media/dvd2 (I am assuming the double entries are for both cdrom and DVD reading ability?).
By default SuSE 10, among previous versions, have subfs and HAL
enabled which do mounting and unmounting of removable media
automatically. Since audio CDs have no filesystem with a superblock,
they usually cannot be mounted. Try to unmount the CD (unmount
