At one point I was able to run YaST via the SuSE Menu, but then when messing around witht the display and window manager, I lost use of it. Now if I try to load it via the shell I get the following msg: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Your command outputed the following:: b: connection to ":0.0" refused by server ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Is there a correct method to rectify this ? yast2 requires X (the yast run from the menu system). You are loading it in a plain shell.?.? yast will give you the ncurses style from a shell that isn't X capable. If you use KDE then doing an Alt+F2 and entering yast2 should bring up the GUI yast. Or from a konsole session as a regular user use sux (su with x capabilities) and then issuing yast2 from th command line should run the GUI yast. Any of this help? Stan
